Steve Earle Concert Benefiting the HCCA Red Lady Defense Fund

The fight to preserve Red Lady has been a long-standing issue in the Gunnison Valley. High Country Citizens’ Alliance has been active in protecting Mount Emmons from the threat of a proposed molybdenum mine for more than 30 years and as we continue those efforts we are excited to present Steve Earle in a benefit concert with all proceeds going to the Red Lady Defense Fund.

Steve Earle will perform on August 13, 2010, at the Crested Butte Center for the Arts. Doors will open at 7:00pm and the show will begin at 8:00pm. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to hear Steve Earle live, and support High Country Citizen’s Alliance in our efforts to continue protecting Red Lady!

* Allison Moorer will no longer be performing with Steve Earle. Local musician, Tyler Hansen will be playing solo and acoustic prior to Steve Earle's performance.

About the Artist

Steve Earle is a renowned singer-songwriter who is well known for his Grammy nominations and unique sound. Earle has recently released “Townes” inspiration for which came from his friend and mentor Townes Van Zandt, who spent time in Crested Butte in the 70’s. Due to affinity for Crested Butte, Steve Earle has graciously accepted an invitation to perform a benefit show. His last tour through Crested Butte a few years ago was a sell-out, and you won't want to miss this show. To learn more visit: steveearle.com
